Armed Security Officer Morning and Afternoons

Position Overview:

We are seeking a professional and alert Armed Security Officer to provide a visible security presence at a busy supermarket. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain standing and engaged for extended periods. Officers will primarily be stationed at the front of the store, with occasional interior patrols to maintain safety and loss-prevention support.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain a high-visibility armed presence at the front entrance/exit of the store.
* Greet customers in a professional and courteous manner.
* Verify that bulk items under shopping carts have proper paid stickers or receipts upon exit.
* Conduct periodic interior patrols of the store to deter theft and ensure a safe environment.
* Observe and report suspicious activity, disturbances, or safety hazards.
* Complete incident reports and daily activity logs as required.
* Coordinate with store management and law enforcement when necessary.
* Provide general security and customer service support as directed by site supervisors.

Requirements:

* Valid Florida Class D and Class G Security Licenses (required)
* Prior armed security experience preferred
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Ability to stand and remain alert for long periods
* Professional appearance and demeanor
* Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
* Ability to de-escalate situations calmly and professionally
