About the Role
Position Overview:
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to oversee a construction site. This is a solo post without an on-site guardhouse, so officers must have reliable transportation and be comfortable using their personal vehicle as a shelter while on duty.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct hourly patrols of the construction site to deter trespassing, theft, and vandalism.
Maintain a visitor/vendor/delivery log, ensuring all entries and exits are properly documented.
Generate clear and detailed incident reports, maintenance alerts, and daily activity logs.
Communicate promptly and professionally with law enforcement, first responders, and site supervisors as needed.
Report safety hazards, unauthorized access attempts, or unusual activity immediately to client and management.
Serve as a visible deterrent to unauthorized personnel, especially during off-hours.
Minimum Requirements:
Reliable transportation (required – no guardhouse or shelter on site).
Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and remain alert in low-activity environments.
Comfortable working outdoors and remaining in a parked vehicle when not on patrol.
Must be professional, punctual, and able to follow all post orders and reporting protocols.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Valid Class D Security License (required).
Clean Driver's License with a safe driving record (required).
Must have transportation (Vehicle) as the job site does not have a guardhouse yet.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, visitors, and vendors.
A commitment to maintaining the safety and security of the community.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and adapt to role rotation during shifts.
