About the Role
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and highly visible Overnight Security Officer to patrol a commercial shopping center. The officer will use a golf cart to conduct patrols, ensuring the safety and security of the property. Most establishments within the shopping center close by midnight, making a strong security presence crucial during late-night hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine and high-visibility patrols of the shopping center via golf cart.
Utilize a guard tour system to scan designated checkpoints.
Monitor for unauthorized activity and enforce property rules, including challenging vehicles attempting to camp overnight.
Generate and submit maintenance reports, parking violations, and incident reports as needed.
Respond to suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns in a proactive manner.
Maintain a professional and authoritative presence, deterring potential issues.
Requirements:
Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong observational and report-writing skills.
Must be comfortable operating a golf cart for extended periods.
Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
Must be able to remain alert and engaged throughout the shift.
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Requirements
Class-D Security License
Valid Drivers License
